Investiții în infrastructura transfrontalieră de peste Prut
Acum aproape un secol, peste râul Prut au fost 27 de poduri, majoritatea fiind din lemn. Astăzi, există numai nouă poduri, dintre care şase rutiere (Lipcani – Rădăuţi - Prut, Costeşti -Stânca(suprapus pe barajul Lacului de acumulare cu acelaşi nume), Sculeni - Sculeni, Leuşeni - Albiţa, Cahul - Oancea, Giurgiuleşti - Galaţi) şi trei feroviare (Ungheni - Iaşi, Stoianovca - Fălciu şi Giurgiuleşti - Galaţi). Podurile rutiere au fost expertizate și s-a constatat că unele au nevoie de reparații capitale sau chiar de înlocuirea cu noi lucrări de artă. Podul de la Giurgiulești a fost deja reparat capital, lucrările și costurile acestora fiind suportate de către partea română.
